Color makes me happy, and I love to see faces light up when they see my work for the first time.
I want to spark the imagination.
And maybe make a difference in somebody's life by having them see the world in bright saturated colors.
I paint landscapes, folk art, and abstracts; most are saturated colors with whimsically imagined bold shapes in the fauvist style. I also dabble with illustrative images.
My work is a combination of mediums; oil or acrylic on canvas, as well as digitally created images printed with archival inks.
My Digital Art images were created using a variety of applications; on my iMac, MacBook Pro laptop (using a Wacom tablet), and/or on my iPad using a stylus. I don't make direct copies or paint over the top of photos. I paint freehand using applications that emulate natural mediums and print with archival inks on 300# cotton rag or on canvas. Most are limited signed & numbered editions of 30.
I've been having fun with painting over the top of canvas giclées with acrylics, resulting in unique Multi-Media one-of-a-kind pieces.
